Attachment theory deals with how we form psychological and emotional bonds with one another. To represent that on a larger visual scale, outward projections of inner feelings are displayed, from an ultra-connected, mirrored self, to a distant couple attempting to pull apart their connectedness. The viewer is challenged to evaluate how they connect with both themselves and others. Some many feel quite in touch with themselves, yet subconciously pull away when they get too close to others. Visually speaking, the literalistic approach of humans being actually, physically connected highlights how our attachment styles fuse us or separate us from others.
