In every facet of his daily life, the man cannot escape or ignore the gaping hole within him. The viewer is challenged to consider: "what would it outwardly look like if our inward needs were unmet? The lack of relational connectedness from an absence of sex impacts the each individual at a personal, spiritual, and developmental level. The man is postured to continually balk at the ever-growing void in before him. The artist imagines how we can still be theoretically "intact" yet severely missing a core part of us.
