At first glance, the title and concept may appear at odds with each other. A striding man is seemingly chopped up into smaller pieces, accentuating the individual, unique parts of his body. When the disconnection is highlighted, we're able to glimpse the intricacy of just how connected and dependent each part of the body is on the other. Modeled and designed like a wooden drawing mannequin, the viewer is invited to marvel at how each bodily component serves a greater function despite not seeming outwardly connected. It is often only in isolation that we can see the unique parts that make up the greater whole.
